Hearts is typically a four-player game, and each player plays for themselves. Depending on the number of players, some cards may be left over. Remove the Jokers, shuffle the deck, and deal the cards evenly among the players. The person with the lowest score is then the winner.To play Hearts, you need a standard deck of 52 cards. The game continues until one player has reached or exceeded 100 points at the conclusion of a hand. However, if a player manages to win all the scoring cards (which is known as a slam or shooting the moon), he scores zero and all other players' scores increase by 26 points. Each heart scores one point, and the queen of spades scores 13 points. Normally, each player scores penalty points for cards in the tricks which they won.
